Tau Beta Pi (The Engineering Honor Society)
Tau Beta Pi was formed to foster a spirit of liberal culture in engineering colleges and to mark in a fitting way those who have conferred honor upon their Alma Mater, based on either distinguished scholarship and exemplary character (e.g., integrity, breadth of interests in and out of engineering, adaptability, and unselfish service) as students of engineering, or based on their attainments as alumni in the engineering field.
Omega Rho International Honor Society
Founded in 1976, OMEGA RHO International Honor Society is a society of collegiate chapters and members promoting and recognizing superior scholarship and leadership in operations research, management science, and related areas. OMEGA RHO is a Member Society of the Association of College Honor Societies and formally became part of INFORMS in 1998. The George Washington University Chapter was chartered on April 1, 1976.
