Professor Jon Deason

In 2023, professor and director of the Environmental & Energy Management InstituteJon Deason, co-edited a book on climate change, Handbook of Multi-level Climate Actions: Sparking and Sustaining Transformative Approaches, which emphasizes the need for significant climate action by every person on the planet. Oikonomia, the journal of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas in Rome, recently published a review of the book that notes the diverse contributions of each editor and provides an overview of the case studies presented in each chapter.

Here is an excerpt from the review: “The notable variety of contributions gives the text a multi- and inter-disciplinary character, furthermore, the reference to experimental research and specific experiences applied to different geographical areas and contexts make it a real manual on the topic.”
